I'm using twm with mouse-over focus. I find it very
useful to have two windows, one of which may obscure
part of another, stay at their relative positions while
I work in them or copy/paste between.
As of a recent version of the Opera web browser, one
of their developers has become raise-window happy, and
the browser window will keep bringing itself to the
top above other windows at undesirable times. it even
will do this from an icon'ized state, which boggles my
mind.
is there a way to block an apps raise-window events,
and leave the decision of the relative positions of the
windows up to the window manager? can a window manager
control this in some way?
