automatically logs off

I will be using the computer and all of a sudden a window will pop up
and say user ***** logging off, save work and then shuts down. Anyone
have this problem? Anyone know how to fix this problem?

This doesn't really seem to be related to X applications. Are you sure that
you're posting to the correct newsgroup?

In the mean time... can you tell what app the window comes from?
How about a 'ps aux' or something similar to see what's running?
Any other clues?
