Could not include LaTeX command in XFig

Hi milisters,

I'm using:
- LaTex from MikTeX
- Windows XP Pro
- Cygwin: XFree86. I installed the Cygwin without teTeX

They work well. The XFig export funtion is doing its job. But:

It says in http://www.xfig.org/userman/frm_printing.html that I will
be able to include LaTeX command such as $\int_0^9 f(x) dx$. And then:

After exporting (produces myfile.pstex and myfile.pstex_t) and
compiling, the command above in the figure was not LaTeX-ed. It's
printed in verbatim-like mode.
Other components such as lines, circles, arrows, are printed as
expected. The problem is in the text with LaTeX flavour.

Any suggestion?
Other vector-based editor maybe?

Thank you.

Have a look at TexCad32 at

The text got put into the pdf file rather then the pdftex_t
file. If you want your text to be put in pdftex_t and therefore typeset
with latex the special flag for the label should say special. You can
edit the text to change this parameter (select text with the left button
of mouse after having selected edit).

That special flag just works.
Thanks dude.

It's also in the FAQs, apparently. Found it recently.
